In 2004, I started at Hayward Adult School with very, very little English. Fast Forward to Phonics helped me to greatly improve my reading, writing, and math. I progressed a lot more easily and faster than I thought I would.

Before very long, I gained the courage to start using the GED book. On April 18, 2006, my birthday, I received word that I had passed the GED. That was the best birthday present I could have gotten!
It just takes opening the first page and a desire to learn.

Give yourself one more chance.

After many years of frustration trying to learn, I found Fast Forward to Phonics and Mrs. Thompson at the Hayward Adult School. I wish to say “Thank you” to my teacher because she is one in a lifetime. She always goes out of her way to help. She has a special love for people who need help. In 2008, I received my GED.
I say to all of you, “Never give up! You have another chance!”

Great for all English as Second Language learners wanting to read and write. This self-guided workbook is excellent for adults too busy to attend ESL classes.

In 2012, I came from Kenya to pursue my dream of an education. My journey began with Ms. Thompson. Thanks to her, I finished at the top of my class and was chosen to speak at our GED graduation.

Now, I have a Master’s Degree!
